Matrix of Movement
‘Matrix of Movement’ (2016/17) is an ongoing cross- disciplinary research project and part of a wider collaborative initiative called ‘Common Ground’.
Walking journeys in both the UK and Australia offer new perspectives exploring how northern and southern hemisphere attitudes to navigation influence our understanding and connections to place. Research focused on two locations The Mersey Estuary Liverpool and Hunter Estuary New South Wales (NSW).
Through site specific installation and paper works this project brings together the worlds of Fine Art, Environmental conservation, Ecology and Environmental science offering new ideas and ways of seeing.
In 2016 Hill was awarded a travel bursary by Artists Newsletter to participate in an International Artist Residency at The Lock Up in Newcastle NSW.
