New conversations

20 Nov 2017

For the last six months I have been revisiting the locations of our residency in NSW via my 3D scans.  I had been completely unprepared for the size and scope captured by the Reigel scanner. I had also been unprepared for the effect the scale of those locations would have on my perceptions of the wetlands.

Ideas about wet and dry, where land and water meet bought new conversations and observations between western culture traditions and those experienced in Australia.

‘Black waters’ a threat to health and sanity, to the clean and proper body and mind.

Whereas indigenes of Australia regard wetlands as places of both life and death, light and dark, living black waters.
